Freiham North, WA19
The large block segregates from the public urban space an inner courtyard that opens generously to the south towards the district center. Our design aims to support this familiar urban configuration with a familiar principle and develops modular townhouses that, on the one hand, merge into a large form and, on the other hand, remain readable as partial volumes.
In total, three building typologies are developed in the design: The flexi home in the southwest, the daycare center in the northwest with housing above it as a pergola type, and the multi-unit type designed as an urban townhouse that occupies the remaining building sections to the east and southeast.
