Living on the Vineyard Ulm
To the outside, to the big street, to the neighborhood square with Panzerhalle and to the neighboring block edge figures, the building presents itself with a high presence and urban character. The desired subdivision and small-scale division naturally emerges from the internal structure of the building parts: corner buildings, basic modules and base zones with different uses present themselves to the outside in different materiality and façade design.
Towards the green inner courtyard, the bulbous base modules together with the corner buildings form a curved contour that “softly” surrounds the green inner courtyard and naturally integrates the inner corners into the block form.
High-stemmed pines and birches stand loosely on a lawn set free of boundaries in the courtyard.
