The typology of the houses too emphasises that no introverted inner courtyards are created: no basic distinction is made between interior and exterior, since the ‘courtyards’ are ultimately nothing else than flowing Park spaces between large, independent buildings.

The three-dimensional structure of the buildings is derived from this general layout: on the outside, the individual wings seek the dimensions of the surrounding architectures, and on the inside, the offsets and projections interact with the main buildings to produce spatial zones of different identities. The varying depths of the wings, the ‘density’ of the building, frames these spaces with differing solidity according to their position. Towards the interior, the arrangement of the buildings produces a sequence of separate, semi-public interiors, which serve both as access and as communal green spaces with playgrounds and leisure areas.

The buildings have very varied structural depths, leading to the typological differentiations of the apartment floor plans, which are initially based on just a few basic principles with the aim of spatial openness and great adaptability. In the foreground is the piazza-like structure of the apartment with its end walls on both sides of the building. In the different wings, the principles are construed vary differently, according to local conditions and requirements.
